help - newbie in need of advice re cookies!

  • Thanks Hungerdunger - I've taken a look at the (huge) list of cookies and was so shocked at who's been sliding them onto my laptop I've actually deleted the lot and told Firefox to alert me each time from now on - that way I only get the ones I want!

I read that article on cookies, and it really is quite wrong, all this data that is collected without us knowing. I feel like my privacy has been invaded. Okay, so it's mostly shoe shopping I do but all the same...

ccleaner deletes cookies, which presumably is the reverse of what you want for quidco?

The problem with Quidco is if you browse the site you are purchasing from before going through quidco.
It will leave a cookie when you first browse and then when you decide to go through quidco it can sometimes not pay out.
What I do is use Ccleaner to clear cookies, then log into quidco, since I have been doing this I have not have a failed transaction.
  • Hi hope someone can help me - am new to quidco and want to get it right when i start.
I have set up firefox as a new web browser, do i just need to delete my cookies from this or from internet explorer and aol as well.
    many thanks for your time
  • Hiya, if you go to Tools, then Options, you can see the cookies on each of your web browser - you shouldn't need to clear the cookies from the other browsers if you're using Firefox just for Quidco.
  • cheers thats what i wanted to know, didn't want to loose all my log in details that are stored under explorer
