Arrived late after all the polava (sp?) with the jubilee line out of service/having to get buses, etc, but what a fantastic show!!!

Was probably the best show I have seen and the kids LOVED it. In the end I had two spare tickets, so took a friend of mine and youngest's best friend - all he kept saying on the way home was 'thank you for taking me, it was a great show'.

Thank you OP for a great post.

We've not long been home and after chatting about everything my granddaughter is now fast asleep in bed, perhaps dreaming of all the 'firsts' she's had today. Strange isn't it that we think kids from the cities are deprived if they've never seen a cow or the sea, my 11 y/o gd had her first experience of a train and the tube (and a sushi lunch) today!

Anyway back to the show. What can I say? The 2 1/2 hours flew by, we loved every second and didn't want to leave when it ended. I can't think of the best act, probably the pole athletics - or the basketball game on unicycles - or was it the troupes of dancers with so much energy, and speed! The musicians and singers were fantasic, and the shapes and shadows on the tent roof were mesmerising - except for the spiders, but the 'spider' man made me laugh.

If I could I'd sit through it all again, I just hope those of you who aren't fortunate enough to get tickets yet get lucky and find some. (Just hope you don't have to sit one row in front of a woman catcalling and whistling throughout, she nearly burst my eardrums :rotfl:). Thanks again OP, we wouldn't have missed this for anything

Just got back from tonight's show. Wow. Amazing. Thanks v much to the OP for this thread. The show was fantastic. Beats Cirque De Soleil by miles in my opinion. Loved every bit about the show - music, dancers, performers. venue, atmosphere. Fantastic. If I had paid for the tickets, I would definitely have got my money's worth. What a splendid evening!
  • Anyone with tickets they don't need for Sun 3rd Feb mid-day show. I am desperate to get at least one for the show. Please Pm if you have any

Just got back from the show. I thought it was absolutely fantastic - much better than I expected, and probably better than most Cirque De Soleil shows (mainly because it hasn't got any clowns in!)

My one suggestion to those going there with an email confirmation only is arrive early! I got there about 2:55 (for the 3pm show) to find a long and very slow moving queue for those with email confirmations. I eventually got in at around 3:20 and missed the first ten minutes of the show (which luckily had started 10 minutes late). I would recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early. Note that this is only for email confirmations. Those with tickets (or ticketmaster bookings) were able to go straight in.

Also bare in mind that it's a good ten minute walk from the main entrance of the O2 to the Afrika Afrika tent, so I'd arrive a tthe venue at least half an hour before the event.

Thanks a lot to Barbara for the tickets, and the OP for the original info!

ps. SPOILER ALERT! Don't read this if you haven't seen the show...

...for those that have, what was your favourite bit? Mine was the unicycle basketball. Maybe not the most skillful section, but really energetic, original and fun!

pps. do spoiler tags work in these forums? If not, would it be a good idea to add them?

Would definitely second this. We waited 40 mins in the queue - it was chaos!!

But ...... THE SHOW WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!

    Thanks OP.

It's possible you could receive your confirmation e-mail a few hours before the show is due to start. Mine arrived at 5.10pm, keep an eye on your junk folders too.
    Fingers crossed for you.
  • Thank you for giving me hope.
