Hi guys,
I'm a newbie and really want 3 tickets to Afrika Afrika. I've gone through the thread and followed a link to the show's page and used the code Ocelot but no luck. I'm not sure if I am doing the right thing- can anyone help me please and tell me what I am supposed to and how much notice I'll have before the show. I would love to get the tickets for free- please help!
Thank you so much in advance0 -
I managed to get 4 tickets for wednesday night by using my husbands email address aswell. Handed over print out of email - didn't ask for any ID. All seats are good as arena is small - it was only about 2/3 full so seats that we slightly to the rear of the stage weren't used anyway. Although we enjoyed the evening - not sure I'd pay £25-50 per ticket. As for the 'bendy lady' act - yuk! Energy and enthusiasm of cast cannot be faulted though! Enjoy!0

Is it me or is there EVER such a lot of 'newbies' on this thread?
I went again last night (really didn't want to) but someone I know can not travel by themself (he's 90), so was doing a good turn really.
It was still as entertaining as when I saw it last week and I felt all the better when he said he loved the show.
After the security check at the main entrance, it took us 55mins to walk to the tented area (friend can barely walk).
When we got there I told them I thought we were walking to Africa!
I asked at main entance for a wheelchair, after checking the same security guy who'd screened us said that they only had one chair ...................................... and it had been STOLEN !!!!!
So much for security then.
On the way home we were acosted by a young couple who were VERY drunk, but funny.
The lady asked me if my old friend was my father (twice my age), I've waited years to say it and replied 'no he's my husband'. She was to drunk to appreciate it.
My friend made it worse by saying 'we're just good friends'.
We declined their offer to take us home with them to Chingford, I think this morning they wouldn't have enjoyed our company as much.
All good fun though.
Show was really good, everyone seemed to have the email print out and I did wonder if anyone had actually paid to get in.
I didn't see anyone being ID checked again and we were escorted to our seats by the guy who gives out the tickets.
As an after thought ===== My friend went on Wednesday night with 2 tickets to drop off her Mum and 4yr old daughter.
She knew she couldn't go because she had to get back to look after her disabled daughter.
When she said goodbye and she'd pick them up after the show, her daughter started crying and said 'but you said you had 3 tickets ..............LOL, meaning free of course.
She said no only 2, so the ticket lady said 'Its ok I'll give you a ticket for the little one ......free of course', but she really did have to get back for her other daughter.
So if you need to squeeze in a little one it might be worth a try .........................
Sorry this has gone on, I'm so tired ...................
LLWe are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -
