N80 nokia on 3 network

Can anyone help me??? i want to unlock my phone so that i can use it on a o2 sim?? thanks
btw don't have a clue what i'm suppose to do!

Is the phone PAYG or contract - this will have some bearing on it.
I have recently come to the end of 18mth contract with 3, I had an N80 and the only way it can be unlocked (i think) is by contacting 3 direct. Because I had sent notice to cancel the contract they did everything over the phone (charged £15 though), but the N80 is now unlocked and my mum is using a vodafone PAYG sim in it. I don't think the series 60 phones can be unlocked any other way - although someone who knows more about this may hopefully be along soon!!

Thanks for your reply. I just got the phone on ebay (Not physically yet), so not sure how long of a contract it was on!

Not sure about this - but think I have read somewhere (probably on here) that 3 will only unlock a handset for its original owner. Might be totally wrong there but it sticks in my mind for some reason. Hope this is not the case for you!
