I haven't heard much about FirstSave hence my earlier thread, but ICICI get's mixed reviews, some people have had problems, others not. Icesave has been brilliant from my and my colleagues experiences, so it's always at the top of my list.miladdo0

Was going to go with Sainsburys, but noticed it says "Withdrawals are by transfer to another account only." at the bottom
Isn't that to stop people expecting to be able to get their money out, along with their groceries, at the shops?0 -
That Asda account looks great thanks, but I must admit I'm a bit put off by the 0.75% bonus - I just don't like the things, even if the rate isn't too bad afterwards! Tempted just to stick with Icesave, but still not entirely sure...0

icici - very slightly higher. I've had no probs at all, through lots of transactions. Have got icesave as well with loads of probs at start up. Luck of the draw:D0

Asda also provide a websaver account @ 6.25%: http://www.asdafinance.com/internet-savings.html
- An amazing variable rate of 6.25% p.a. Gross/AER
(includes a bonus of 0.75% gross p.a. for the first 12 months) - Base Rate Guarantee - After the first 12 months we guarantee
that your rate will follow the Bank of England Base Rate until
the end of October 2010 - Same great rate no matter how much you save
- No penalties for withdrawing your money
- Choice of monthly or annual interest
- Open an account with just £100
- 24/7 secure online access
this looks ok for me, will need money in a few months timeonly wondered how safe my my would be.
Asda banking is Bradford and Bingley.
I already have £35K in Bradford and Bingley account so if I had £35K with Asda would all my money be protected if B&B went bust
can't find Asda Banking on Martin's list (how safe is your money)
thanks0 - An amazing variable rate of 6.25% p.a. Gross/AER

Many thanks again for the replies, really still not sure on ICICI or FirstSave, and don't fancy Asda because of that 0.75% bonus.0

Great links, thank you! Tempted by either AA/Sainsburys but I'm still not sure about their withdrawal policies, not very clear from the site...0

Pretty sure I'll be fine, but just curious as to just how risky having all of my money in Icesave will be? I'm guessing the chances of me losing any are very slim to none?
Definitely want to get away from Halifax asap0
