And that was after November 2005?

No. But I still have many friends there. Cuban, British, American, Dutch, German, Brazilian, Argentian and S African all using the US$.

I do not wish to continue with this any further. Twice I have now posted and suggested the OP uses sterling, contrary to my original response. This will avoid any risk and I hope he enjoys his holiday. As a holiday maker it's a great place.

Cubans are great people, you'll find lots in Miami :rotfl::rotfl:

I live in Nottingham, PM me if you live near and maybe we can do a deal
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

The Post Office will buy them from you for £463:74 for $1,000, commision free, however their spread seems to be 15% so if you went straight back in and rebought them, they would charge you £533. May not be the best rate but safe and local.

Todays PO rate is $1.872 to buy and $2.1564 to sell, so $2 for £1 looks a fair price at those rates. Rates change constantly so best to check yourself when ready

    Nos vamos a Cubaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! :D:D:D:D:D

Ps - You can't legally use US$ in Cuba anymore.
Yankees these days are even changing US$ to some other currency (like Canadian$) before going to Cuba as there's a high surcharge to change US$ into CUC.

  • Sorry stoneman bit of a way away - live in a very soggy Gloucestershire............currently not under water but then there is still one more field between me and where the river is now currently (normally 9 large fields!)...........so fingers crossed it stops raining!
