Customer Alert: Gas and Electricity Prices set to rise - How to avoid the rises
We are sending this newsletter as we have some urgent news and advice that we would like to share with you as a person who has used our service in the past.
Gas and electricity prices set to rise from July - How to avoid the price rises
Unless you are on a capped deal, your gas and electricity prices are soon set to rise sharply. On Friday, British Gas announced that it shortly expects to 'make the kind of price rises nobody has seen or done before.' (Source: BBC) 15% is the figure they are said to be mulling. Once BG raise their prices other suppliers will follow suit. This means that if you are not on a capped tariff your prices are almost certain to go up by the autumn.
You can avoid these hikes if you act quickly. We would advise all customers to seriously consider moving to a capped tariff. They will cost more in the short term but we expect you to save a lot in the long term. You need to act quickly though. Npower's (the cheapest for many in the market now) is only guaranteeing to accept new customers until Friday. ScottishPower and Powergen's may also end soon.

Did you know that using BT for your home phone can cost you up to double compared to their competitors? In fact, some of their international rates are 3-4x the competition's.
Our new firsthelpline.com telephone calculator can compare the cost of your current provider to a wide variety of others in a few simple steps. Many can save a lot of money. Switching home phones is very simple - the process only takes two weeks from start to end, a new company charges you less for your calls but BT still maintain the line, and you can opt for carrier pre-selection so that you do not need to dial any prefixes.

I had one of these too and had left it lurking in my inbox! It seems genuine, I'm not sure how I've suddenly got on this mailing list though, it could be because I switched providers not so long ago.Torgwen..........
