I signed up with o2 last week and am very impressed I'm all up and running already..easy set up(thats saying something as I'm a technophobe)..text messages keeping me informed...freephone 24/7 and uk based £7.50 p/m and unlimited downloads...very efficentDailyClicker wrote: »I can't speak more highly for Be Broadband.
Their UpTo 8Mbps Download, and 1.3Mbps Upload for £14 will suit your needs. It has a FUP, but you won't be affected unless you download 300GB + which I am sure you won't!
O2 - 8mb, unlimited downloading, £7.50 p/m (£10 for up to 16mb) free connection until the end of the month
Be - 8mb, unlimited downloading, £14p/m plus £24 connection fee
Think I might go with o2? Mobile wise they're brilliant, so hopefully broadband will be the same!0 -
O2 is only £7.50 if you already have a mobile with them, otherwise they're £12.50
They systems behind 02's broadband business are provided by Be* anyway0 -
I've been with Be* since November 2007. Everything working brilliantly so far. Give them a call and find out what speed they estimate you will get. I was told 2 mb but I'm averaging 10mb, and I'm on the £14 Value package.
You can also check on www.dslzoneuk.net
You can also read lots of ISP reviews on here, and check out the comparison charts. Their pricing is not always up to date though so be sure to check the ISP website itself.
Be* keep you informed every step of the way and there is a really active user forum which is monitered by Be staff. Questions appear to be responded to very quickly.
There is no download restriction.0 -

The big difference is with Be you only have a 3 month tie in, with O2 it's 12 months. If the service is poor or deteriorates you could end up wishing you could escape again0 -
Well, i had Be for 6 months.. never had downtime, good quality of service.. since O2 use the exact same systems.. i don't worry too much. Plus, it's a years contract, not 18 months0

Hi,
I would be interested in joining O2 for £7.50 per month, but after reading their terms and conditions, it seems you need to be a 'pay monthly' customer. I do have an O2 phone but its PAYG so it appears as though I won't qualify. Could someone confirm I've got this right please? Sally0 -
Yeah, it's only available for O2 Pay Monthly customers only =(
But you can come and join Be Broadband!0 -
you can join O2 it's only £7.50 to pay monthly account holders, non-account holders just pay £5 more I think0
