PDQ and Broadband?

On the off-chance that one of you can help.........
A friend of mine has a small shop [physical, not online] in which he would dearly love a broadband connection. He also does need a PQD, and his first attempt to get broadband was disastrous - - the PQD and the ADSL line didn't like each other. BT, who he got the broadband from, eventually refunded him all the broadband charges because neither they nor the PDQ provider could find a working solution.
The PDQ is an Ingenico, connected to Barclays.
Anyone got a working PDQ on a working ADSL connection? if so, who is the broadband provider, the merchant, and the PQD make?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Barclays Merchant Services have now told me I need an Anologue Converter / Micro Fliter / Splitter (same thing, different names) for about a tenner to make things work. They declne (for understandable reasons) to provide product reommendations or installation advice, and a couple of ADSL providers' sales lines I called also didn't offer much help (somewhat staggering but so it is).
The splitter devices I have found (looking up Maplins, Comet etc on the Internet) all
1) connect into the main BT socket on one end
2) have two other connections - one for the PC (ADSL) and one for a phone or PDQ.
So what if I want to plug in TWO analogue devices, a phone *and* a PDQ?
It's quite possible I have a 'blonde moment' over all this (wouldn't be the first one)....can anyone enlighten me please? I realise this is a money saving forum, not a tech support line, but I will still be eternally greatful for advice!0 -
You could always plug a standard phone splitter (2 way phone adapter) into the phone side of the ADSL/Phone splitter..
As long as you don't exceed the REN (Ring Equivalent Number) value of the phone line (usually 4 for most standard lines), you should be ok. Most phones have a REN of 1, and I would imagine the PDQ is the same.
