In that case, I would definitely rather be at first base.

There was definitely a prospect of a legal ruling, and it wasn't far off happening in my opinion. Courts were so swamped with claims and were starting to bite back at banks. It would only have been a matter of time before the courts ordered a 'test case' (a real test using a real case, or possible a few cases).
With the overwhelming evidence, a well prepared claimant would have trounced the banker in court. Martin & others from CAG would have made sure they were well prepared.

Some campaigners have been urging the OFT to act for a long time, but they were consistently given the brush off time & again..

Given the way that the OFT have treated campaigners & consumers with utter contempt thus far, handing them 'power' to decide what to do about bank charges is the last thing I'd want..

When we were at 'first base', all claimants (with the exeption of one ill-prepared example) started a claim & won hands down.
  • hi

Southend County Court had its own test case lined up before the OFT took over. hard not to be disapointed when the changes come time and time again but never in our favour.
