Transferring name on contract

Hi all, I was wondering if it's possible to change the name on my mobile contract to my partner's name?

I've just spoken to three, they gave me a different number to ring which is open til 6.30pm. They said I need to ring up and say I want to transfer my contract then I'll get a code which I give to my partner, then he rings up, gives them the code and hey presto. Sounds quite easy!
