Unlocking other BB5 Nokia

I just bought aNokia 5500 BB5 from the orange outlet on ebay.
I need to unlock it to use abroad etc,
I tried fonefunshop but they sent it back cos they couldn't do it.
It's locked to Orange of course. It took a halfhour to call Orange, they said I have to register it with them for 3 months before they will give me the unlock code.
Is there a way round this? Or anyone that will be able to unlock it?
Don't mind paying
