why not arrange a hand over meeting - her with your belongings, you with the money.

You could offer to pay cash as long as she will sign a receipt - then she wont worry that you will bounce a cheque, and you will have proof of payment.

Just sort it out, and move on, before everyone starts shouting GROW UP at the pair/trio of you!!!

am i right in thinking that (judging on another one of your posts) you still have some of her stuff? could you not use this to increase your bargaining power?

Yes, I have got some of her stuff. Have tried returning it to her on 3 different occasions but there never seems to be anyone in.

I can't believe this thread has gone on as long as this. Just pay her the money, get your stuff back and move on! You'll never have to see or speak to this woman ever again!

And please don't waste police time on this trivial little dispute, there's plenty of real crimes for them to be tackling!

this is petty i dont speak tomy ex in laws they have done and said some nasty things but if i owed money to them be it through a catalouge or anything else i would have paid up to get them out of my life..

oh and if it was me you owed the money to you and as you seem to be doing withholding the money im sorry but after all this time i would have either sold your items to pay for the debt or just binned them.. you have no proof she has got them and sounds like she isnt going to get her money..if they as sentimental as you say pay up, then you can both move on.. as for seeing her everyday if you dont owe anything then you can hold your head up high when walking right past her
