Cheers for the help. I've been looking at tripadvisor already - plenty of useful info there.

Steff, thats for that - the hotel looks great but its way over £100 per night for the nights I need:(

Very useful info about the walking times and location - I'll search around there for something nearer by budget!

when I last stayed in a travel lodge we got a double room which had a double bed in it AND a sofa bed!!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I think all the family rooms have the double bed and sofa bed but the travelodge I was looking at near the theatre is only showing either a single room or a double - no family/twin rooms available unfortunately.

    Still searching!

pc, it's worth a phonecall - they may have suitable rooms or be able to add the sofa or pull out. I often find the double room a problem; last time we were put in a disabled room which has beds that can be split on request.
