Shill bidding seller

I am (or WAS!) bidding on a rare vintage necklace which i love! and really really wanted... but i just noticed that somebody placed a bid higher than mine, they had one feedback, for the same item off the same seller. and 2 bid retractions in the last 30 days.... funnily enough... they were bid retractions on the same sellers items. So this is her "shill bidding account" by the looks of it... I also noticed that another user has won a couple of her items which she has since re-listed.. and this seller is from the same town as her! (obviously a friend)
Anyways my point is... I really want this necklace, but i am obviously not going to buy it at a shilled price! should i tell the seller that i know what shes doing, and ask her to retract her shill bid so that i can win the necklace... or just report her...???

It would be tempting to do both, but in the correct order of course.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I would report the suspected shill bidding and go with sniping in the future0

hah didn't think of that... i like it!
think i might just report her now though, as i have found a similar necklace that i actually preferI :coffee:0 -
Definately report the seller/listing and let Ebay decide if its shill bidding.0

Well done for investigating it!!! Does annoy me (amongst other things) but some people will always try and take the p%ss....
Reporting her is definately the right thing to doThere is no need to run outside

Yep. I agree.
But if we all do our part, and keep an eye out for the bad ebayers and report them... then it helps a little at leastI :coffee:0 -
It does and he/shes lost out on a sale from doing it! hope you manage to get the other necklace you have seen.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

Thanks!
Thing is, it's not a very expensive item anyways, and the seller doesnt seem to want to come to terms with the fact it isn't going to sell for alot. This is the 3rd or 4th time she has listed or "sold" this same necklace. she should just put a reserve on it... or just give up trying to sell it all together, and keep it for herself.... She obviously doesnt want to let it go!I :coffee:0
