Sending buggy to Ireland?!

I have just sold a buggy, which I put free postage if you buy it now - someone has bought it now but lives in Ireland.

In the listing I didn't put anything about higher rates for Ireland - it looks like its going to cost around £20 to send it....

Do I send it with the postage I offered - free?

no. ask them for the extra cost to you.
ie if you allowed say a tenner to post the item to mainland uk, then ask for the 10 quid extra.
if they refuse then dont sell. you may get a neg FB though?

its up to you, if you wish to risk getting a neg?
    Get some gorm.

If you stated free delivery, why would you be charging somebody?

From the information in this thread, you cannot say that free delivery was limited to only people in the UK.

Northern Ireland is in the UK though so OP needs to clarify where the buyer actually is.

If a European buyer has bought it, ie someone from Southern Ireland which is not the UK then the OP can calculate the difference between the UK rate and the European rate and charge that difference. A short email to the buyer apologising that this auction was for UK buyers only and should not have been available for European buyers and there will therefore be a postage charge of xxx, should suffice.

Yes you can if you say it in a good size type in the auction text and explain that European or other overseas customers should ask about postage before buying. It would also have been better possibly to have set seller preferences to exclude non UK buyers.

If I was the buyer I would expect to get what I paid on by it now for- free delivery. If you didn't state free delivery terms in the listing then you will have to abide with the stated sale.
I would refuse to pay towards postage and then open a dispute if you failed to go through with the sale.

If the listing stated delivery to the EU and free delivery, why would the buyer expect to pay extra?

I stated that the information provided thus far in this thread does not allow people to state with certainty that the free delivery only referred to people in the UK.
