had a very strange morning today, my accuracy went from 94 -88 and back up to 91 in the space of 30 songs, very odd

that sounds about right at the moment.

i started my session today on 95%. Rated one song and went up to 96% !!

It fluctuated between 93% and 95% throughout and i finished on 94% for the day though so I don't mind.

I don't like rating the songs between 4-7 but it's the only way you can maintain accuracy because of the changes they've made.

same here adn it fact in annoys me doing it to, but i think until things get settled down that the way it has to be - there needs to be a lot of reviews against all tracks to countre balance the numpties who must be voting either 0 or 10 for pretty much every track

the thing is, that's really the point of all of it - to rate across the board what you think the song is worth, but it just doesn't work like that.

if they fixed the payment at something like 8p per song, regardless of stars and accuracy then people would be more inclined to rate the song properly based on how much they liked it rather than concentrating on their accuracy.

if everyone rates a song 5 out of 10 then basically the rating becomes completely meaningless.

i agree with you, but to vote what YOU think is where the problems starts, i try to vote as i think others would feel, which means sometimes I have to vote low on things I like and high on stuff I dont.

the numpites voting 0 - 10 thing though annoys me. when i logged in yesterday and you can see a recent scout reivew on the screen, someone had voted 0 with the comment -

"i didnt like this the bass was to bassy and the singing was a man"

in my book someone wha has taken the effort to write, record, and then has the guts to upload a track to the world to be reviewed should never be voted a 0 - 0 is my sister playing the recorder 10 years ago.

by the same token voting someone a 10 is very rare as i would consider that to someone who is already being paid to make music and is successfull
  • well the one comfort i'd take from that zero is that the scout probably had their accuracy caned for that :)

i've said for a long time that the theory behind the site really will never work because a fan of metal music will never be able to judge if a hip hop track would be commercially succesful because to them, it would all sound the same.

:rotfl: Oh my god. that is so hilarious. Can you imagine if you were the artist, how irate you'd be when you read that? I think eventually they will have to install different software to check the reviews/make suer they're meaningful. Or penalise people randomly if they come accross a crap/pointless review.

I have to say I sometimes come across a song i just can't think of anything to say about, or one that just fills me with such soul-numbing boredom that I just reload the page.

OK, that's annoying. I just listened to a very dull dance eight minute track, only to be told at the end that they couldn't retrieve the information fromt eh database. Then when I pressed send again it said I'd typed at 390 words per minute and to try again, and then when I tried again about a minute later it said it was a word for word copy from another review I'd done! Now the website's down. What a waste of time.
