  • I haven't been to STP for a while, and there were some reasons for this.

I've just logged in now, and they've changed the website: you can now get your accuracy on the scout room page before you enter one (no need to join facebook to find that out, thankfully), and it now tells you how much you've earned.

Okay, it always did that, but it used to keep a running total and ignore any money you withdrew from your account, which could be a bit confusing: this is now fixed.

There may be a couple of other niggles that put me off STP, but I'll try them again shortly and see what happens and report back.
  • yeah, that was me who posted that :)

i think that the stars will fluctuate - i may well be wrong. there are a lot of very unhappy people over there at the moment who have lost a couple of stars.

Matthew Lynne, who had reached 10,000 reviews and should have had his 5th star is now down to TWO stars.

they've definately changed the way it's calculated, and while i can sort of understand it, they're also going to annoy a LOT of people.

Matthew is back up to 4 stars now though. i think like most things after a bit of getting used to this will be fine. just reviewd 13 tracks and all my reviews went through no prob, which didnt always happen before. on the surface it looks better and you get to earn more. if people continue to rate teh same as they did before i dont see that much will change.

i think the big thing at the minute is if you are the first person rating a track in the new room tehn you are going to have 100% accuracy. if someone rates 10 and you rate 6 then your average will drop to start with.
  • well my overall accuracy at the moment is 100% which is groovy :)

i think i'm going to do a few random reviews here and there to see how it goes - i'll still do my 50 a day as i have been, so hopefully it will settle down.
  • To those who know me.. I finally got the 3rd star!!!! after 2100 tracks reviewed!!!

I got my third star too, on my first track on the new site! Woo hoo. Like someone posted if you are the first reviewer your accuracy goes up and up. Do you think they will honour payments? :rotfl:

  • I was expecting to log on and have dropped stars but I am still on 4 stars! :D
Pay rates have also gone up - only by 1p - but at least they haven't gone down!
  • i'm happy that the rates for 4 stars have gone up.

means if i do 50 tracks per day, that's £5 per day - £35 per week if i do it every day

and the 24/7 scout room does indeed have 10,000 artists - each artist can now upload up to 10 tracks so there could feasibly 100,000 tracks in the scout room !

if you did 3,333 songs a day for a month :)

that's like 3 entire scout rooms per day on the old system !

my goal, as always, is to cover my virgin cable bill and mobile phone bills. that all comes in at around £100 a month, so realistically i only need to do 50 songs per day for 5 days a week.
