they did say on the announcement it could be anything up to 24 hours.

it will probably mean a flood of newbie posts like "what does this part do then?" and "why can't i do this?"

Yeah up to 24 hours, am quite excited about seeing what "new" things they are adding - hopefully something to minus the copied tracks!!

Hiya, Slice the Pie is back up and running & I am enjoying getting back into rating the new tracks, I like the new style of itm more modern, easier to use & acessible. My accuracy is also on there which is good I am on 87% & have rated 122 tracks, is this bad/good? Hows everyone else finding the new site?

Very interesting stuff.

Couple of things which stand out for me.
1) 1 star scouts now get paid in 'vouchers' but to be honest I can't find what these vouchers actually do. I think this is a good thing as hopefully it will encourage more thoughtful reviews.
2) As a consequence of introducing these vouchers they have been able to increase the payments for higher star scouts. (For example a 4* scout has gone from 9p to 10p)
3) 24/7 scouting - this is an interesting idea...but I don't how practical it is as the amount of artists has gone down recently.
4) New layout to website - As always I think you have to give it time. Any change in always going to be criticised but in time we will get used to it. My main problem with it is that with the favourites bar inset it makes the whole page impossible to view.
5) Direct investment in artists - This is a very good idea. There are many artists, particularly from the more niche genre's who are very good but simply didn't have a chance under the previous system.

i've literally only just logged in to the new site and my initial impression is that it looks good - as a recent 4 star scout, i'm obviously pleased that the payment has increased

i like the idea of direct investment as well - there's an artist on STP at the moment called Samantha Preis who i think is absolutely fantastic and it's criminal she's never won a showcase. i'd be happy to invest in her.

But will have a good proper look once i start scouting - the 24/7 room allegedly has 10,000 artists in it so potentially that could mean 30,000 songs.

seems hard to believe but who's to say it isn't correct?

I'm glad I upgraded to 2 stars before it relaunched, I'd of been very peeved if i only earnt these vouchers Otherwise the update has been very good

the scout room has a "live" update feature, so you get a running total of the songs you've reviewed and the money you've earnt as you go which i really like.

the hour glitch is also gone

the stars and accuracy are all over the place at the moment.

i started scouting an hour ago and had 4 stars and 91% accuracy.

an hour later, i have 100% accuracy and TWO stars ..
