  • Wow, lovely skirt, looks like something out of monsoon that costs a fortune, your daughters must be thrilled, you are very talented , keep on creating, your picture has inspired me to get sewing some more instead of just repairing things
  • Hi
Just a quick note. I have been attempting to put a zip into the dress my daughter has decided to make without a pattern - she has done quiet well but it is not the way I would go about it - I wouldn't dare to make something without a pattern. This is her second garment!

Anyway, that was not what I wanted to say. What I wanted to say was I really like the skirts you have made for your daughters, Bunny200 and it reminded me of a program I was watching the other week "It is not easy being green" where one of the presenters went to see how scraps of material are being used to construct new clothes. There was one particuarly nice skirt which was made of scraps and it was on sale for £200 - the presenter said! The style / effect was similar too Bunny's.

Must dash now as I am running late and hubby will be shouting because he still has a job to go to at 5.30 in the morning and I am late with everything because of the dress...oh dear.

MSA (who pops in occassionally but doesn't often post).

Has anyone else made ther own?

nuttywoman - not yet, but I am very interested in that! Would you share where you found the pattern? I made a lovely bag the other day, and a matching wallet would be just the thing........

I'm planning to alter a couple (well maybe that is optimistic!) of patterns this afternoon, I can't imagine I'll get round to cutting out!
