Post Office lost parcels

Options
I now have three claims in with the Post Office due to E Bay items that did not arrive, one is going back to September and the Post Office claim not to have received the claim although i always get a proof of postage when posting a claim.
I had to send in a new claim form but then got the following reply :

'We need the original proof of postage not a photocopy '

My reply :

'I suggest you go and look for it then as i posted the original with my original claim that you have lost '

I would implore everyone who sends a claim to the post office to keep a copy of the proof of posting because if they lose it you would have nothing to go back with.
WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.

well OP- I can tell you straightaway that you will never get compensation for your lost parcels from the Post office
    never
    ever
    ever

you MIGHT however be able to claim from ROYAL MAIL who actually deliver the post! ;)

Are you posting 'signed for'? Lots of herberts claim not to receive their ebay packages as they know ebay is stacked against the seller so they get free stuff. It happens ALL THE TIME loads. I now send EVERYTHING ebay 'signed for' if using regular post - 74p more, but guess what, since doing so have had zero 'it never arrived's. For me it is even worth absorbing part of that 74p knowing it insures me from losing stock, honest buyers love it, crooked ones don't bother trying it on.

If you have proof of postage, but not proof of non-delivery I think you may have an uphill battle, and if the goods are worth over £41 regular post is the wrong (uninsured) service to use anyhow. Just worth noting!
