hi everyone,

I have an overdraft of 1300 on a lloyds account. this strayed into "illegal overdraft" territory for a time, but I managed to lodge money to get OD out of the red.

I'm thinking of applying for a credit card to do balance transfer, but what chance have I of getting the right option from lloyds, considering my credit history?

Hi all,

Quick question... I already have a loan which i owe about £2000 on still. In addition, I have a barclaycard platinum card with a fixed rate of 6.9% for life (long serving customer!). Can I pay off my loan with my credit card without incurring any interest penalties and obviously pay off the remainder of my loan at a cheaper rate?

Hi!

Wonder if I could maybe get some advice. I took out a loan for £7000 in June 2008, repaying £200/month (approx 7% APR). Noticed in my annual statement in June this year that I had been paying PPI without my knowledge, fired off a letter to the bank – they are currently in the process of paying it back J J

I now have £6000 left of my loan to pay and I intend to put £500 of my PPI refund towards this, bringing it down to £5500. I have also recently started a new job on a slightly better salary. Bank of Scotland have said they will be in touch to renegotiate the ts and cs of my loan – would it be worth shopping around for a new one? As I’m now in a slightly better financial position I’ve taken it into my head that it would be worth crippling myself and paying back £400/month to try and get it paid off in 12-18 months – is this the right thing to do?

This is my first 'Post' so apologies if I'm not doing this right. In desperate need of advise.
I currently have a loan for 5,000 with Black Horse - Ridiculous interest of 30%.
I want to pay off the loan with one of my credit cards. I called Black Horse and they said they do not accept payment by credit card. Is this right?
The only other option I can think of is to use the cheques issued by my credit card issuer and pay it off using that. Is this a good way forward.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!
