wellllllllllllllllll, it says you have to have a degree for AQA, but I think a few people have sneaked in without one going by what I've read on other threads.

If you like nosing around looking for information it could be for you. Sometimes you can earn £50 in 3 hours, sometimes it can take twice that amount of time. And then there is tax and NI to pay on that at some point in the future.

It gets very very repetitive in that youare sitting at your PC/laptop working and that that is it - no break, no other work or tasks to distract you or take your brain in a different direction.

That said, it beats getting up at 7 to drive to work - particularly in the winter when it's cold and horrible.

Well from being chipper this morning due to having got unexpected family allowance, i am now skint again!

I have enrolled for a book keeping course, which my work are paying for
(i hope, 95% sure they will be) but the £50 deposit came out of my account today. Good in a way that it was today but bad really as it's meant i only have £20 til friday...... although i have put petrol in the car so that's okay.

Hope free bingo winnings come thru fairly quickly! That'll sort me out again.

Not desperate for more money, as i'm trying to do lunch log challenge and not waste money on dinners but that seems to be where a lot of my money goes.... well that and petrol!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)

hmmmmm.........this part of this business made me say 'wow'

    http://www.shelforddeli.co.uk/party.html

    I've love to do this.

I've started playing around in my head again with starting my own business but I know anything food related is a minefield Environmental Health wise.

I'd like the business to (possibly) be a mixture of the idea in the link ie a small catering service; hand made chocolates and then cooking for people in their own homes - anything for 2-12 people for a dinner party.

I also played around with offering my services as a home tutor in 'how to cook' after seeing all the tutor adverts for A level maths, english etc in the job section of the paper. From the complete (probably nervous) beginner up to someone wanting help with planning a party or a buffet perhaps.....

I've just emailed my local council asking for advice and information as to what I need to do in order to start the business from home (if it is actually possible).
The costs involved were  as it meant things like industrial microwaves, separate fridges etc and I don't have the space but I might as well find out.

Maybe I should start on ebay offering homemade chocolates and truffles????

I want to start small but don't want to blow a fortune on equipment.

this page is a bit of a come back to earth kind of wake up call equipment wise....
