Near BroadBand Speeds on your DialUP

Options
Hello
All, just found ONSPEED - amazing package that has absolutely changed
my surfing. My 38kbs DialUP is now running at 190kbs !
£25.00 / YEAR, 1 small download, no new modem, no engineer - dead easy.
14 day Moneyback guarantee. Basically that is a cost reduction from
approx £240 / year for Broadband to £25.00 / year for 70% of broadband
speeds. The direct link to the site is :
http://www.onspeed.com/
but if you would like to please go to
http://forum.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Referrers;action=display;num=1097801205
This is my referral - £5.00 for each sign-up. (after 30 days). That's
also available to each licensee as well, so you can make your money
back as well. I hope I have done the referral thing right, I don't
want to abuse this Site.

    Very Unconvinced.

It does mean that all your traffic goes through their servers twice (outbound/inbound).

    From their FAQ/Technical

They change the quality of pictures on the website you are viewing read the following.

    http://www.onspeed.com/speed.php

    http://www.onspeed.com/reviews.php

Read the Computer active review which I think is quite honest.

If this is so good then why are they not doing the same for broadband ???? under their claims the 512 broadband could be the equivalent of a 2meg link - I see no claims.

With the price of broadband falling - you would do better to go for that.

190kbs is not 70% of 512 service the accepted broadband download
speed, my calc makes it around 37%

You do not say what your dial up service is costing you -
if it is more than £11.75 per month then you could get broadband for that figure, yes you would have to pay for connection and a cheap modem - but then your speeds would really be broadband speeds.

You know what they say about too good to be true !!!

Final thought - from the exuberence of the message - are you affiliated in some way to Onspeed ?

Regardless of anytime, but 190kbps is not even possible on an analogue modem dial-up line.

Compression might help, but no way for every day use.

    Waste of time. Avoid.

I have never used Onspeed but they are a legimate company (unlike those adverts/postings about Juice)

Oh course, whether browsing actually improves as much as they claim - I doubt it.. unless you are only every browsing text but you would have to try them and see..

Though I think they offer a free trial so no doubt someone can try it themselves

    Regards
    Sunil
