Moving to USA possibly

Hi all, Hope someone can answer my question. I am thinking of moving to USA. I have a large collection of DVDs and CDs. Will i still be able to play them on the systems in the states. I really dont want to let them go. It has taken me a long time to collect them Any advice welcome. Thank you x x
