DH has gone upstairs for a bath so I have at least an hour of peace and quiet. Its weird but because he is at home (not working) he has found loads to do during the day but seems to want my undivided attention in the evenings. He has been chopping kindling and tidying the garden so is soaked and really cold.

sexymouse get well soon, make sure you get loads of rest before you go back into the classroom full of germs! Each time I changed school I ended up with something horrible or else I seemed to have a permanent cold for the first term.

emmb so pleased to hear that things are going your way at last and you have something good to look forward to.

I have to admit that I still didn't get upstairs to do my bedroom, I got kind of side tracked by the dog who thought my hall was his toilet. I also could smell a doggy wee wee smell when sitting at my desk, so tried to crawl around to find the source and used a washing powder solution as someone recommended a few weeks ago and the smell has gone.:j

Wow, ended up having an hour and a half challenge!

    Dishes washed
Baby cooked for and fed (minger had liver and onions with sweet potato and pasta - shopping coming tomorrow, can you tell? - but also smuggled in mouthfuls of malt loaf that she'd hidden between her legs. Gross)
    Bathroom S and S'd
    Kitchen all S and S'd
    Hallway cleared
    Sitting room cleared

Whew! I feel much better, but now am snoozy. Off to get something to eat. See you all later. x

    Hi Guys

Not been on this thread for ages...I got a bit addicted to entering comps and dthe house has really suffered for it.
I dont know what it is about Jan but it always make my house seem really grubby.
I really do need to get back into my routine that I had as I'm either going to sell or rent the house out towards the end of this year or early next and its really making me panic how much I have to do.
SO baby steps again for me...going to get the kids in bed now and get on with one or two of the rooms until OH gets back from work.

started well this week but then all went downhill when I got ill Tues night/weds morning. Feeling a bit better now so I really need to get on top of things again. Can someone tell me how the half hour challenge works?
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • Got most things done on today's list so happy with that just need to swish and swipe the kitchen before bed and remember to have an early night tonight:o

Right then tommorrow the kids rooms both look like a bomb has gone off in them!

Finally Friday - those terrible kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
Vacuum Floor (even if it's just where you can see)
    Level Two
(kids rooms) Strip beds, vacuum mattress and replace with fresh linen
(spare rooms) Check if linen or curtains need a wash
    Level Three
Dusting and cobweb checking inc the high reach places if safe to do so
Put anything back in it's place that isn't where it should be - if this task is huge just spend 10 minutes on it
    Extra Mission Task Choices
    • Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, aim for 27, if you can't find that many, well done, you are obviously making a difference
    • Sort through some toys/books/clothes even if it's just for 10 miutes, making sure any broken ones are dealt with/flung, dirty ones get wiped/washed before putting them back and anything that should be parted with is gone!
    • Clean kids rooms windows and the sills!
    • Wipe any sticky marks off doors and walls in the kids rooms, may aswell wipe the lightswitches and handles over too
    • Spend 10 minutes making any important calls or doing paperwork filing

FRIDAY EXTRA - Don't forget your ME time this weekend, even if it's just a nice relaxing bath or catching up with an old friend, go on you deserve it!!

Hope you all have a good evening see you later!

    Evening my lovlies

Had a rubbish day today as it was DH's family members funeral - yuck. Couldn't have rained harder so we were all super soaked and the undertakers took us to the wrong chapel at the crem, just awful.

Mum had DS from 10 so she could take him to music class so did some flying this morning for an hour and half before had to get ready and leave. Got a bologense in SC but me and DH snuck into pub on way home for a bite to eat so thats tomorrows tea sorted.

Will follow the list tomorrow as DS's room is in need of a through clean
