My MIL used to iron her bras and pants, socks, towels (surely that makes them less absorbent?) etc. I don't iron anything if I can help it. I'm a great believer in folding things up and hanging things up.
  • OK - A bit late but I am in this week. I didn't sign up last week but tried to do the bits and bobs and basically faded out toward the end of the week so hopefully declaring my intentions will give me the kick up the b*m that I need. I am going to aim for level 1 this week, that way anything I manage extra is a bonus...

Just to check how it works, do you all edit you original post in this thread to show what you have completed and what is left to do? Or would Tuesdays work be a second post?

    Thanks!

Run around and spray polish, it will make it smell like you have been working really hard. Or pretend you had to call someone about something and it took AGES!
I would have, but I don't use any products (I damp dust and feather dust!) but I was at the kitchen sink doing breakfast dishes, with all last night's washing up lined up dry on the rack (he might not have realised I washed that lot last night!) but I just had my bath, his fault anyway, he was home early!

Canadabound, people just post as and when they want - many people repost their updated list later on however many times is necessary.

Happy birthday! and welcome to the newbies.

We (me and ds2) have had a busy morning.

Been to Aldi, then to get bins for chicken feed. Collected our first two eggs from the nesting box - boys nearly exploded with excitement! I then spent the last two hours writing complex legal stuff for the website for my business only it has all just crashed and gone. Rapidly losing the will to live - cleaning looks preferable at the moment.

DS2 is having a little snooze on the sofa after spending all morning pretending he is a chicken. I have just done the DW, put lunch on and now need to start off the never ending WM yet again.

Blimey pigpen 8 kids!!! how do you cope??? OH and myself only have 3 between us and sometimes when there are only 2 I get so fed up of the bickering and arguments!!!

Mine don't really argue or bicker.. and if on rare occasions they do.. I don't get involved (unless there is blood involved!!) in the wild such things are seen as learning for adulthood so I give them space to sort out their own issues.. hopefully they will learn something from that for when they are grown up. If they constantly argue over a toy it becomes.. 'mine'. It is actually much easier with more of them.. I really struggled with 2 but this is a piece of cake.. apart from the flying is a pain. 10 people/1 me doesn't work out well.

Also.. I don't get stressed.. I am so laid back I barely beathe most of the time.. hubby does.. that's why he is almost bald and very grey!! lol

One hour twenty minutes after I sat down for a 'quick' coffee and catch-up with the threads...are you sure that you're all doing any flying at all??:D

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday!!! AnW's A, torianut, and miniwitchy

(((tracyg))) and anyone else who needs one.

I have been taking a couple of days off. Saturday morning's interview went well, and I am now registered for supply teaching - and torn between excitement and outright terror! It won't be for a week or two as one referee is slow to reply, and I also need my official teacher registration thingy to be processed. I'm still looking for a proper job as well, but could do with earning some money as there isn't much gardening going on at the moment.

I had a lovely girly afternoon with DD and her friend at Lakeside, although I only bought a few bits at Boot's - I did see a jacket I liked, but decided it would have to wait, as I've spent out on the bedroom redecoration, and don't really need a new jacket - yet! I also found a lovely suit in M&S, that is at the top of my list when I get some more money! Absolutely shattered when I got home - I just can't keep up with two 16 year olds!!

Lazy Sunday morning reading and then dinner, then went over to see Mum. I didn't decide until then, as I thought I'd be too tired after Saturday.
She looked a bit better, and things are underway to transfer to a home that offers 'care with nursing'. Still some concerns over the funding, as my parents are not swimming in money, and it costs an absolute fortune. I think I'll ask over on the families forum and see if there is any guidance.

I now have run out of time to paint the radiator in the bedroom before lunch (shame) and it will have to wait for tomorrow. I am off to buy some curtain lining, and then will make up the curtains for the bedroom. OH put up the pole yesterday - antique effect metal, with sparkly glass finials - very pretty!

PS Thankfully completed about Level 2.5 in the kitchen before coming on here, or it wouldn't have got done!

  • In again this week - computer's on a bit of a go-slow - think my neighbour has got a wifi and is piggybacking on my connection so I hope I haven't missed anyone with the thanks button

    :hello: to all newbies

:bdaycake: to torianut, A and miniwitchy

having a slow morning so far - was awake most of the night itching with this bl**dy rash then overslept - am going to lurk in doctors in a bit to find out whether or not there's anything I can do - hopefully just tail end of this stupid virus I've had.

2 positives tho' - cause I've been stuck round the house it's spotless and just had a call from Mum to say consultant is pleased with how Dad's foot is so fingers crossed he won't need another operation sport-smiley-001.gif- will know for def in a few days.
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

Tracyg – hugs to you this week
Witchypoo – happy birthday wishes to your dd and hope ds feels better soon.
Shell – hope your nan is on the mend very quickly.

I've a few more things to add to my list.

Now, what else do I need to do? DSs fussy eater son is coming for tea. I'm just going to give him food and if he doesn't eat tough! Can't be doing with faddy eaters and I mean faddy. He'll only eat sausages and grapes and they have to be the right ones. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr xx
