Well I can confirm a trouble free transfer, I applied to transfer my ING ISA on the ICESAVE ISA launch day.
My funds were transferred from ING and hit my new ICESAVE ISA on 31st Jan.
All in all a trouble free ISA transfer, credit to ICESAVE for a faultless transfer and thanks to ING for giving up my funds to ICESAVE within a week.0 -
Hi, I am also pleased with my transfer,
sent my ISA transfer form to Icesave on 16th Jan, I've just recieved letter from Yorkshire.BS, my ISA in now closed and funds transferred to Icesave.

can you transfer from any bank/building society? As I see that ING and National Savings ISAs can be transferred.
also....what date am I meant to put in the Date Of Transfer field on the Transfer ISA Form?
Or is this only meant to be filled in if you have a notice period on the ISA being transferred?0 -
Oh Noes!
Is Iceland headed for a meltdown?
"Analysts reckon that, thanks to a series of cross-shareholdings across the Icelandic economy, it would not take much for the whole country's financial system to go into meltdown."poppy100 -

Not good. If the panic starts it won't matter whether they're (really) in trouble or not. Icesave et al want to start making some calming statements right now IMO....0 -

AFAIK Icesave will accept transfers from anywhere - just check the conditions on your existing account(s) to make sure you can transfer out and what the notice period is.
The date of transfer field on Icesave's form is on case you have to give notice to your existing provider(s). If none is needed, put the same date as you sign the form.
By the way, Nationwide's notice period on its members bond (of 60 days) is only for closures - transfers to another ISA provider do not have to give this notice.0 -

Arrrgh really? Grrrr. I have done three transfers, one from Egg, one from B&B and one from Nationwide but I respected the 60 days on the Bond!Oh well.
Edit: Just checked the terms and conditions on my Members ISA Bond and it says:
Taking money out
You can make one withdrawal in each tax year at any Nationwide branch but you must give us 60 days’ notice or lose 60 days’ interest if you need instant access to your money. Remember, you can transfer funds to a Nationwide Instant Access ISA to avoid losing your ISA benefit. (This will count as a withdrawal and will also be subject to 60 days’ notice or loss of interest.)
So not sure why you said that doesnt apply? I can't see anything in the small print to suggest otherwise or allowing transfers to other providers without notice?
