In my post today...

First post arrived at 1.55 pm. Only one thing delivered, sky magazine.

On opening lots of paper fell out.

Dial a phone leaflet. Lots of offers in big writing, real cost in smaller writing, wads of small print qualifying every offer. Bin.

HSA leaflet. Offers of free vouchers and pen, but I don't qualify as I cancelled this plan 2 years ago and its new customers only. Bin.

Jamster leaflet. Bin without even looking.

Win a million leaflet. Premium rate dial in for some duff prize. Bin.

AA leaflet. No specific complaint against them but not interested. Bin.

A&L loan leaflet. 6.4% typical apr (yeah, right) Bin

Letter from sky. Price has gone up to £21 (from 19.50).

Ho hum.
Regards

Does anyone else find the Sky magazine annoying as well?

As previous poster says - full of rubbish and very little to read. If only there was an option to cancel it...

I only get it because they put up the subs by £3 (the alleged cover price of the trash) as a VAT dodge. So unti lthey put down my subs by £3, they can carry on sending it as the recycling bin is not full to capacity yet.

At least you even got your mail today! Ours has been arriving a little irregularly of late, sometimes nothing, then masses of stuff the next day - and the post dates are all different. If we do get mail, ive often had it stuffed through the door at 4pm. Im thinking they have a shortage of staff, im going to send my boyf down there tomorrow to get a job application form!

I usually open all mags over the bin to allow all the crap to fall out ... I have no idea what is on those leaflets. I don;t think I have ever read the Sky magazine but I know DW has a flick at it for 5 minutes before throwing it into recycling.

The worst one though is flamin internet provider (I won't even give them advertising space) who insist on sticking their CD-ROMS into my computer magazine. I can't easily flick through the magazine and I always seem to rip the page when I remove it.

In this day and age when we are meant to be doing more recycling and getting more concerned about the worlds resources should they not reduce the amount of rubbish we receive?

I buy a TV paper every week and pick it up so that the contents fall out. I'm not the only one, our nearest Sainsbury's has a bin especially for the unwanted contents of mags!
