I think Marks and Spencers (if this is the right company I am thinking of) started out in the markets in London selling things at 1pence at the time
Apologies for this being completely off topic, but it was in Leeds, in Yorkshire    I know we're out in the sticks, here, but not everything happens in London  Rant over.
I'll be watching on Wednesday,if only to see what some more MSE posters look like :T:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I will be in the audience this Wednesday and I would like a chair!!!
About the celebrity couple: I would not want to pay a tenner each month for my bank account, but these too have enough money not to worry about this and their priority was good customer service. To be honest, I often value that more too over moneysaving just for the sake of it, so I wasn't surprised that they took no notice of Martin scolding them for it.
I was sent a pm from one of Martins researchers re going to the Show this Wednesday, I told her that I had a Spinal problem, so standing would be difficult for me. She replied that Chairs are available for those who would prefer to sit.
I should have realised Martin would cater for all! :A................................... MSE MARTIN LEWIS ... :A ... THANK YOU.......................0 -

Good bit of free qualitative research to assist the show - companies pay mega bucks for such feedback.
Have a great second show Martin - break a leg (preferably one of Terry Leahys!)One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.0 -
Why dont we get the famous people you get on to agree to donate the money you save to the money fighting fund(or whatever it's called), or get us all to sign up to win the money!!
They might care what you can save them then.
Loved the show, and again like one other poster, thank heavens for Sky+, thought it was very like the money saving email that we all get, I think looking in depth to families with the savings they can make.
I also liked the bit last week with the guy doing the competitions, I've now started!!!Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
