I've just received a reply from PB re: Evil Dad clip.

    Hi ......

Thanks for your email and comments.

The clip was featured on the site initially because of its presence throughout
the web and also at the suggestion of a member to feature this as part of the
theme of the practical joke in the Play Pen. We appreciate that views about the
clip may differ considerably but the feeling was to allow our members to view
this clip and make a judgement themselves.

I am sorry for any disappointment caused, this was not our intention and we do
    appreciate our members' views.
The video clip will not be available on the site from this afternoon.

    Kind Regards,

    Rachel

Does anyone think it's funny that the Boots voucher came back on the rewards list the same day as the 75% Boots sale starts?
I have been waiting 4 weeks for one £10 Boots voucher and have just ordered another 2 this morning but by the time they get here the sale will be over and done with!!

I got a similar response with an extra bit about "Pigsback.com does not condone cruelty of any kind and I accept that you feel the decision to use the clip may have been questionable. All comments about this have been passed to the team and considered."

OK, I have a feeling this may be why PB is going down the pan slightly... I sent the enquiry yesterday, as you can see below giving the date the order was depatched and stating that it had now been over 2 months and I'd still not received my points. Now, to me, 2 months roughly means 8 weeks, which is more than 6 weeks. Right?

This is what I sent to them:
"Dear Pigsback, I am still waiting for points for an Amazon order which was placed on the 10th November and despatched on the 11th November. It has now been over 2 months from the date of despatch, I wonder if you can possibly tell me when these points will be credited?"

This is the response I got...

    Hi,
Please note as per the Amazon offer page to allow 6 weeks for the PiggyPoints to be credited. If it has been longer than that, please forward me on the confirmation mail from the transaction.
    Thanks for your e-mail,
    Kind Regards,
    Rachel

Slightly worrying? I thought that I made it quite clear in my enquiry that it had been more than 6 weeks!

I've now forwarded the confirmation email but this is getting silly as this is the 3rd enquiry I've made about these points, I didn't get a response to the 1st enquiry, the response I got to the 2nd one said that they were waiting for the December file (why? I ordered early November) and now this one. It does seem that they don't have a clue what's going on and I'm starting to get pretty annoyed...

Edit: This is what I responded before I forwarded the Amazon confirmation email

Dear Rachel, as I stated in the enquiry that you have just replied to, it has been over 6 weeks, hence me including the date (11/11/07) and the statement that it had now been over 2 months. I will forward you the confirmation email.

I'm having trouble chasing up points from an amazon order on the 13th November too - and I got the same email
Also waiting for la senza points.

    Getting angry here too lol....

  • still no bday points....grrrrr. i even emailed them a couple of weeks ago to make sure and was promised that they would be put on automatically.

ah well, time to go get drunk and will check again tomorrow morn!

Having read through carolinosourus' Pigsback's fiasco, has anyone received any piggy points for transactions with Amazon.

I did some purchases about 5 weeks ago and as yet I haven't seen any points, but it is too early to start chasing the points.

My points don't add up to much but it is the principle of the thing. I would normally have gone through nectar estores but I prefer to collect the vouchers from Pigsback.

Pigsback is going to have to get a better tracking system.

I had my points eventually for a purchase I made with amazon in November. I had to email them a few times to get them but got them eventually.

On the page it says that Pigsback "would like to reassure you that any entries into the related [to the evil dad vid] competition will be added to the entries of the updated one." :D

  • That was decent of pigsback to immediately remove the offending video, I watched it too and giggled at first..........wait...........dont shoot me down, i laughed cos I got a fright but the giggle faded when I saw the wee boys reaction. Evil Daddy indeed. Im sure he reassured the boy later but I have to say if it had been an adult they had set up it wouldve been funny!!!!
