Tried that. Here is their reply:

    "Hi,

Please accept my apologies, but I am unable to mobile validate your account.
Our mobile validation procedure can only accept UK or Irish mobile numbers.
It states in our registration process, in the personal details section, to advise us of the country you reside, the options given are UK, Ireland, or Northern Ireland.
These options are there because we do not currently have the facilities to process rewards for members situated in countries other than the UK, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Again, apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Kind Regards,

    xxxx"

At least they sound nice. But is there anybody in the UK that wil/can help me get validated??

I read this as meaning that you can't be a member if you aren't from Uk or Ireland - so (without meaning to upset anyone) I do wonder why you joined? Even if someone here was to provide the validation for you, Pigsback would not necessarily send you any vouchers - they don't run the scheme outside the UK and Ireland.

Ordered train tickets yesterday morning via South West trains. The tickets arrived today - before the points have been credited. Usually it is the other way around!

Are you all seated, then I'll begin:D

Checked my emails a little bit ago, and there's one from Curly wishing me a Happy Birthday and saying he's given me 50 piggypoints. Just done pigsback and he's given me 100 piggypoints!:D And I didn't have to ask, plead, beg, threaten or anything:rotfl:

Helps make up a tiny bit for all the amazon points I'm missing for Christmas shops. And in my post-Christmas tidy-up I deleted all the emails, I know I know:o :o:o

  • Sorry for long post, but I thought some of you might like to know how I got on in chasing those referral points..... (slightly edited) emails to and fro follow:

    Hi,
I recommended -- to join Pigsback, she joined using my invite email and is enjoying using the site. She received her first award yesterday but I have not received the 500 piggy points promised, please could you credit them.
    Many thanks
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
PiggyPoints for a successful referral are credited within a day or two of a reward being claimed. In order for your referral to be tracked and eligible for PiggyPoint crediting, the person you are referring must register via the referral link that is sent to them in an e-mail, I am afraid --- did not register via this link, and therefore this referral is not eligible for PiggyPoint crediting.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
    Kind Regards,
    ----

    Hi ---,
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate what you say about registering via the link, but I think you should appreciate that if someone does not have html turned on for their email, or images allowed, the banner referral does not appear. However, the non-referral links DO. I'd like to ask you why are there non-referral links included (above the referral one on the page, and therefore reached first) if the sole purpose of the email is to refer a friend? It is almost as if Pigsback are deliberately making the email confusing in order to avoid paying.
I enclose the original email, and I'm sure you can confirm that she joined shortly after receiving it.
I would ask you to credit my points, in the interest of fairness and good customer service, and to make the referral email clearer in the future.
    Best regards,
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
I am afraid we cannot issue PiggyPoints on referrals which have not been taken up correctly, when registering via a referral, the person registering must click on the 'Click Here To Register' button in order for the referral to be tracked.
I am very sorry your daughter did not have html activated when registering with this partner and on this occasion I have issued your account with the PiggyPoints for this referral however in future, all referrals must be made by clicking through from the Pigsback.com referral email.
Only tracked referrals will be issued with the PiggyPoints.
    Kind Regards,
    ---

So basically, hooray. I'll be careful about the banner in future - but it is always worth arguing!! Now I just have to get my SW trains points.....

Well it seems Curly is in a good mood today after pointing out to him how many SWT points I should have received compared to how many I actually got he has added the remainder to my account.

I never got any Birthday points but don't think I'll fight that battle anymore, think I'll just wait for 81pts and the Arcadia vouchers to be back in stock before bidding farewell to curly....

...although I did do the A&L thing thorough Pigsback.....
