cancelling 3 contract early

I'm 9 months in to a standard 18 month, half price tariff (Direct talker 1000). Can anyone tell me if I can cancel my contract? Is there an easy way out? What is it going to cost me otherwise?
REASON - Phone has died and I have a new job where a more or less unlimited mobile is included!

you can cancel it but will need to pay for the remaing contract0

If your phone is only 9 months old it should still be under warranty, so get them to fix/replace it. Also, I would not want to use a works mobile for personal calls, would you want your work to know who you're calling?? And, it could leave you open for Income Tax liability as it would be seen by HMRC as a benefit and they could tax you on it.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
