Getting out of 3 contract...
Options
I'm currently in a long contract with 3 and want to get out of it tout de suite.
The contract is for 450 mins / 250 texts for £35 a month. It initially had cashback on the contract via E2Save but I missed the dates for sending it back... . Anyhow, they rang me for an upgrade a while ago and said I could have a Sony Ericsson k800i free if I took a two year contract, nine months of which would be free. I agreed thinking that was a good offer. However, the two year contract doesn't start until my present contract runs out ( next month ) so I'm tied with this deal until February 2010.
Some people have said that the longest mobile contract you can have is two years, well that may well be true but I thought my contract would run concurrently. This means in effect, I signed a three year contract when the upgrade was offered...
Does anyone hold out much hope that I can cancel the contract? Secondly, how likely am I to get a PAC code from them while still owing them money? I want to take the Virgin Media 300 mins / 300 texs for a tenner a month deal.
Thanks in advance
Martin
