help with 3 upgrade

hi all, family upgraded their 3 phones last week and went for the 500 mix at £18 ,we are all on 3 and were happy because we all got the nokia 6500 with 20 mins video calls for £2.00 more a month ,they all changed today but we got no video mins ,so we phoned 3 who said that because we went for an early upgrade the video mins will not be put onto our account until we reached the end of our first contract ,but we wont have to pay the £2.00 extra until then ,have to wait and see if this is true.Now has this happened to anyone else out there or do we have to phone them again as we think they are wrong

you sure they didn;t mean it's in-line with your billing date?

Tariffs tend to change on billing date irrespective of when you receive your phone. Otherwise, i'd be suprised that your new £18mix (+£2) will not start for a few months.

no because they moved on to the 500 mix today so we thought that we got everything today.they all got the 500 mins + 300 3 to 3 mins today so their tariffs changed today

If you log into the three website and go to oyur account details it says "If you're currently changing your price plan the details shown below are your NEW details, which will take effect on your next bill date."

Seems pretty clear to me that your new price plan will take effect on your next bill date.

yes but as I have said the new plan started on the 11/1 and we went from the 1400 talk plan to the 500 mix plan and on picking a new phone we all picked the nokia 6500 slide for £2.00 more per month with 20 video mins but they have not added the 20 video mins and have said we have to wait until march???

changed your priceplan to m n m 500 earlier than allowed - usually except upgarde time you cant change over to a m n m plan, you will get the 50 vid mins & £2 charge come your official upgrade date in March they basically gave you your handset early ( to keep itchy feet customers with 3 thinking of leaving to stay ) but your new 18 month plan starts March if they billed you £2 Jan 07 to Sept 09 you wouldnt be too happy so the system does it from your " proper " upgrade bill/month/date

thanks that is what they said but we didnt believe them as we were not told this in the shop and why we upgraded early is the phones we had ,the V3X was a crap phone and dont think they would have lasted 2 months as we were luck to get a day out of a full charge and they just kept turning off
