You said "Feel free to post up a list of lawyers who will work for nothing. Would you?"
Didn't mention it had to be conveyencing lawyers!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

In slavery the slaves had no part of the deal.
In mobile home parks a willing buyer buys from a willing seller.
A willing park owner makes available their park to the willing buyer.
A legal agreement. set out in law, is signed. The agreement is then adhered to.
Job done.
How you can twist legal park home agreements into the whole issue of slavery is beyond me.
I made no parallel between slavery and park owners. What I said was:Many of the posters have endorsed the fees on the principle that the land owners should charge what they can get away with under the law. Doubtless they would be vehemently defending slavery providing it was legal (and they weren't slaves).0 -
""Evidently you struggled to understand the distinction between what I said and what you thought I said. If you are still in difficulties, send me a message and I will spare your blushes by explaining it to you away from the public gaze.""
what an astonishingly patronising post - please, lets have an explanation in public - i think the only poster in "difficulties" here is you Macaque - we are talking about mobile home sites, not slavery - get a grip .............0 -

Yesterday, you had a rant at me on two different threads. Now you are at it again. I'm begining to wonder if you have a chip on your shoulder.
As for as my reference to slavery, I fear you missed the point. This may have been a genuine failure to follow the discussion or you may just be looking for any excuse to have a go at me. Either way, I am not sure I really care.0 -
i have no idea what point you are trying to make when mentioning slavery on a Park Home threads ...... if you dont care, it would be fabulous to have heard the last of it.0

I don't really see what's the problem here.
The land owner has a business whereby he lets you live on his land, buy a place to live, etc... When you buy a place to live on his land it's conditional on you paying him 10% of the selling price when you leave. The property is cheaper than a freehold or traditional lease hold for this reason.
Everyone's happy. The land owner gets paid for someone else living on his land; the homeowner gets an affordable place to live.
It's a common arrangement governed by law. The above was detailed in the terms and conditions signed by the buyer.I am an employment solicitor. However, my views should not be taken to be legal advice. It's difficult to give correct opinion based on the information given by posters.0
