what do you mean can they do this?
the envelope was either damaged or not sealed before posting.
so in either case theres not much option bar delivering the contents is there?
however the postie should have sealed it in an RM damaged bag0 -
well someone might have opened it to read my confidential informaton0

custardy is our resident expert in this area. I don't think you have anything to worry about, the item just got damaged through the sorting process, or was already damaged when posted (this does happen often with the envelope filling machines).Gone ... or have I?0

yeah hope no one looked at it.but only normally to worry aint it. aa asured me oit left them in a sealed envlope. in this case royal mail should take more care not to damage persnal information.
thanks4 ur responses0 -
Well the AA aren't going to say it didn't are they???
A bit of a toughie really - you could write and complain to RM maybe.Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
yea should do jst so they dnt wreck other ppls mails0

unfortunatly these items are machine sorted.
also be aware many are sorted by other companies under downstream access so not always damaged by RM.
as ive said all that can be done is deliver it.
as for stealing information.do you think someone stealing information would put the item back in the mail system?
lets be honest if you wanted information then surely bank details and the like are more valuable?
saying that just today i handled a letter that showed in the addres window it was from the passport agency so could possibly contain valuable info0 -
I had a similar problem with getting a new bank card so I contact the bank to get that one stoped and changed over to a new details.0

it had my bank details on the letter for a direct debit0
