Small kids will so love duinrell.nl. Definately worth thinking about if you want to avoid flying.

I have booked a holiday to Malta for grandson aged 6 and myself in August
flights British Airways - cost £96 each and 1 bed apartment for 2 weeks £305, booked over the internet an had good reviews on Trip Advisor, plus taxi or some other transfer from the airport. So total cost £492 + airport transfers for 2 weeks in the summer holidays. I think the flights may have gone up a bit as I booked them over a week ago, but BA have some good deals at the moment if you're flexible about where you want to go.
My friend at work has just booked with Easy Jest to Thessaloniki for just over £100 each in August and has got a good deal with a hotel for herself and her son. There's plenty out there if you're prepared to look.
