I have been getting deliveires from well hung meat and have been really happy with it so far.

The children took a bit of getting used to the sausages as the casing are quite thick.

I get the £85 monthly box.

Some examples of the contents of boxes I have had in the past are here:

I have lamb exclueded from my box because the OH is allergic.

I have also had meat and fish from Abel and Cole and that has been good too.

I used to get meat through Natoora from Wellhungmeat (as Natoora often do £10 coupons) but I don't think thay stock Wellhungmeat anymore.

Jack O'Shea is good qulaity but v. pricey

    great blog BTW

Can't vouch for it's organic credentials but it's the best beef I've ever tasted. Well worth a splurge for Christmas (sorry if this goes against the MSE principles but I am new!!)

Hi all- I use the wellhung meat co. every month- if I'm a bit skint I order the well thrify box (£42) which provides a meat meal every other day for 4 for a month- if I've got a bit more to splash I order a more expensive box. I'm ordering my family a box for the freezer for christmas as I'm so fed up with buying them presents they don't need and they'd appreciate a nice organic turky and all the trimmings I think.
  • I second Riverford Organics.

We order the meat box for them, and it is FANTASTIC. The taste cannot be compared to anything out of the supermarkets, it really is superb, and also a good service, timely delivery, friendly delivery drivers.
Slightly dearer than the supermarket, but sooo worth it, the difference in price is small, but in taste huge. My husband cooks for us, and when he makes their roast chicken it is the most unbelievable, tasty, tender, buttery, divinely delicious meat. Their bacon is the best I have tried by now. I mean, everything that I tried has been great.
I also like that there is no preassure to keep buying. We order about once a month (on average), but it is only the two of us and not huge meat eaters (however, when we eat it, it has to be good).
The orders are easy to cancel online, if need be, and the customer service very friendly and helpful. At least that has been my experience to date (I have been a customer for about a year), so I highly recommend them.
  • I've been using Well Hung for a couple of months and well pleased so far. Really good customer service and the quality of the meat is excellent. And it's precisely labelled, which helps with researching recipes.

Bloomin eck I wish I hadn't seen this thread. After what I've just paid for an online tesco shop for some organic meat for my Dad (he's disabled, poor and will only eat organic) I'm very interested in the well hung meat thrifty box. It actually looks really good value.

I've bookmarked the page for a later look. Ta whoever posted it first.:D

We recently got a promotional email from Donald Russell and took a gamble on their 'steak pack'

I'm no big 'red meat fan' but the meat was sensational - the best I've tasted... My hubbie who's a typical carnivore loved it too!!!

The main thing to point out is that it was half price! Normally £60, but £30 delivered for new customers.

I can't honestly say I'd pay £60 for this pack as I simply wouldn't... But with the half price offer it's a relative bargain - and the meat is fantastic!

How did you get this offer?
I would be interested in trying this :D

Was there a code or was it just exclusive to you?

    TIA
