"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

Reminds me of when I was a stooodent. I remember occupying the local conservative party offices for a morning (with several others) to protest an issue. Maggie was in power at the time.

NOW:- Working for a MN oil company!!!

    How times and perspectives change.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Well I'm not usually one for tuning out with the great unwashed to get cold and miserable parading around with a banner that only fellow supporters of the cause are going to see, but on this particular occasion, I'm moved to action.

Team Wharf (Mr Phirefly, the basset hound and I) are going to a protest and I wish to be armed with the facts. Could anyone come up with some clear factual statistics which illustrate the number of unoccupied dwellings in the uk? That and any stats which demonstrate that building on greenbelt land is not the answer to the property 'shortage'. Thanks all.

    There's no shortage.
They are just either in the wrong hands or unaffordable.
