That marshmallow fluff stuff is gelatine free, and widely available. It does contain egg white though, so no good if you are a vegan.

This is just a heads up. Something weird is going on at SweetVegan. After 4 weeks my marshmallows haven't showed up. I mailed twice and got no reply and today when I tried to mail it got rejected as if they have closed the mail down. I'm now putting in a paypal claim. The site is still up so I wanted to warn people that you may be throwing your money away if you try and order from them.

    Have you rung them?
  • I haven't rung them no. I have a condition that makes using the phone really difficult. I have a paypal claim going now so I should get my money back. I just wanted to let people know that there is something going on so they don't throw their money away.

I just wanted to add that I also haven't received an order from them. Ordered on the 5th March and I have emailed, phoned and sent in a comments form - no reply to anything.

My husband ordered some vegetarian marshmallows from Sweetvegan for valentines day and we have had exactly the same problem. I didn't think of claiming the money back from Paypal, although we have probably left it too late now.

He has now contacted the company who hosts the website who are going to investigate and take it down if they find they are no longer trading/can't get hold of them. That should at least stop other people losing their money as well.

In case anyone is still looking, the VeggieStuff website has some vegan ones now, although they are fairly expensive at £2.50 for 75g.

I'm not allowed to post a link as I'm a "new user"! But it's veggiestuff (.com) and just search for marshmallows.

Another place to get them is Alternative Stores, I buy a fair bit from them and find them helpful and have a very quick delivery. These are £1.99 for 75g
