    it never ceases to amaze me which words this site deems unsuitable for our tender sensibilities.
    Its H E L up on pets (think about it) and i was amazed to find recently that the word M A F I A was also censored!

    Just made the battered sausages. Bit of a mess, most of them stuck hard to the fryer basket, resulting in batterless, mushed sausage. One that came out ok was nice though.

    Ohhhh! As far as I know, you don't use the basket - then they have nothing to stick to :)

    Do be exceptionally careful though _ ive never done it myself, only seen it on tv.

    Joffy - found you a video link showing how they do it for battered cod - they don't use the basket to lower the item in - go to about 3-20 in and it shows them battering the fish, and then putting in the fryer at 4mins - here
