Yes I make lavender vinegar. I've still got some left from last year and when you open the top it just smells like concentrated lavender, lovely!

I also made some nettle vinegar. Both I use as a final rinse to hair and sometimes as a facial toner.

My lavender bush is also huge and smells wonderfully when anyone brushes past.

Last year I made several lavender wands . You can reuse the ribbon next year.

My friend has just made lavender cordial with hers. I also recently tried Sainsbury's raspberry and lavender drink..it was unusual but I loved it!

Lavender goes wonderfully with roast lamb - use it in the stuffing instead of rosemary. Or justy chop it very finely and sprinkle it over the top before cooking.

I love the idea of lavendar wands, thanks for the link Penny Watcher. The lavender I got from freecycle is just the flower heads but I have a couple of small shrubs in the garden, hoping I can get enough for a wand from them!
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

You can make lavender sugar, I think you just put some in with sugar and leave it, then you can use it in cakes etc. I've never tried to make it myself but I've had it in cakes and biscuits and it's quite nice!

Yes, I have a white chocolate and lavendar muffin recipe that needs lavendar sugar. (6 oz sugar and one tbsp lavendar florets left in for a few hours)

I have a bag of lavender and very few ideas beyond lavender bags and some sort of pillow.

Thought I'd try you guys and see if you have any ideas...?
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
