I had that a few years ago, I took it back and got a refund and bought a stainless steel kettle.

You could try boiling a solution of vinegar and water. Then boiling some water to clean it out again.

  • This takes me back to the time I gave mil a new cordless kettle for xmas. She filled it with water, made her coffee and complained about the taste.
She hadn't taken the lid off the kettle to fill it, and hadn't noticed from the weight that there was a secret stash of chocolate inside.:rotfl:
I had thought it would be a nice surprise for her:confused:

  • Can anyone help? Bought this kettle new a couple of months ago and our water tasted absolutely foul when the kettle was boiled. It has a metallic taste. We have tried everything to get rid of the taste and it's not our water cos we are using another kettle and it's fine. On holiday our apartment also had MR kettle and again the water tasted foul.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this taste before I throw this awful kettle into the bin? Can't return it as it was a gift.

    Many thanks
    Kate
