  • Personally, I'm still quite happy to deal with Pigsback. Having spoken to Darragh a couple of times, I've found him both helpful and informative. Yes, they've had hiccups and they could have handled it better. Their technical problems/mistakes have led to large numbers of people taking advantage of points they weren't entitled to. Most of us are getting something for nothing, so I don't see the point in complaining too much. It's not like most of us are using their links to buy stuff, so we're not making them much money. It would be easier for pigsback to shut down the UK operation and stick to Eire in light of all these problems, but rather than do that, they are trying to sort things out. They didn't know about the loopholes, only realising they were there when so many people started taking advantage of them. Do you really want to force them out of business for making mistakes, or could you perhaps be a little more forgiving and give them a second chance?

Just wish they spent the time responding to genuine emails, rather than checking up on this site!

I think you'll find that this site and Bobs Free Stuff (think that's the name of the site) alerted them to the problem. They only came to this site through the links to pigsback that had been posted on here (using referral headers). They can see where people have come from to get to a certain point on their website. People here and on Bob's Free Stuff left a "paper trail" for PB to follow, hence them reading both this site and BFS.

I beg to disagree, we spent over £100 with them and we earned more than we got using the links which they removed from the reinstated account! Why couldnt they just remove the erroneous expired and irish links points ? They never phoned back when they promised nor responded to emails. I dont want them out of business but a little customer services goes a long way, which is a concept they dont seem to understand  Anyway, 'nuff said from me on this topic i think :D

I said "most people" didn't buy anything through them, which you'll find is correct. If you've had points removed that shouldn't have been, call Darragh on the London phone number and speak to him personally. He will sort you out. As for Customer Service, they are doing the best they can under the circumstances. They've been innundated with claims for vouchers, plus had problems with the website linking to the Irish site, as well as hundreds of people claiming points they weren't entitled to. They don't have many staff in the London Office, so at least give them a chance to get this all sorted out. You've got to remember that there are actually 3 pigsback sites (Northern Ireland, Eire and UK). The London Office deals with the UK site, but is having to sort out problems with linking to the Irish site, as well as going through hundreds of accounts to cancel points people weren't entitled to and ban people who have more than one account. They simply don't have the manpower to do everything at once.

As said, if you've really got a problem, call Darragh.

  • I'm going to email them *AGAIN* but I very much doubt it will be sorted out, will keep you all posted!

I did call, several times, was told to leave name and number but got no reply from whoever was in charge, hence, taking my business elsewhere. Anyways, like i said, my very last final words on this topic :D

Strange. Every time I've called and asked to speak to Darragh, I've been put through. I've never been asked to leave my name and number. Try again now. You should get hold of him.

The simplest thing for them to do would simply be to send out ALL the vouchers as promised and re-activate ALL accounts (apart from any they KNOW are dodgy).

If they did that everyone here would be happy. It really is that simple! :rotfl:
