What's a pvr?

PVR = Personal Video Recorder
Basically a box with Freeview and a hard disc in it that lets you record programs, pause them and rewind them etc. Liek Sky+ or V+ from VirginIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

Thanks BS - I was intrigued. Now I'm tempted. :rotfl: :rotfl:

And we've already got five 'remotes' another one will just confuse me further.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Hi all,
Hi samtheman
I cant find one on the Asda website at the price you quoted.
I can find one at £137.00 or thereabouts. Have a look at the following link and scroll down to the bottom of the page

In my local one cheapest (well only) is the Durabrand at around £800
-
its a durabrand - it doesn't seem to have a model number0

Hi all
At £80.00 it would be interesting to know which features is has (or has not)

If it has twin tuners this sounds good. I have a Goodmans DVR which is in continuous use. Twin tuners allow you to record 2 programs at the same time (eg itv 7pm plus bbc4 7pm) whilst watching a third. Don't know how We lived without it (How sad is that)0

Hi all
A decent EPG (electronic program guide) and the ability to set a 'series link' would be of value as well
