Oh no good, what did she hope to achieve? I'd have unplugged the phones if it were me. I think you're too nice, cut contact, don't respond to anything at all. It's for her sake too, hopefully then she'll find another way to deal with her issues without just feeding her anger or whatever it is.

I can't think many Government bosses would bat an eyelid at non vanilla content........
Unless you were abusing the email system and he is your manager, I can't see what kind of threat that would pose.
