i nipped into a local boots this morning and all the shelves were pretty empty (plague of locusts) there was only 1 isle left and most of that was rubbish.

the only problem i have with dh, is that i am still getting my next sale stuff coming through in bits and pieces and i think he thinks i am still ordering from them.

I have just been looking at the back of the box of crackers, the Princess ones that I have bought for next year Christmas and noticed that one of the gifts shown is a calendar for 2008. I am not sure what any of the other Disney or character ones include, they may be different. I am hoping that dd and her friends will not notice/care, but will put a spare gift in the box in case of problems. I just thought worth warning people about, because unlike the vouchers which you can take out so that gifts do not include out of date vouchers you cannot do the same with the crackers.

Just back from the Trafford Centre in Manchester. Loads of stock of smellies etc left. Virtually no toys though except the tube station trains and Leap Pad Car Stories. Staff putting out cages of goodies as fast as they can.
Got loads of gift sets for next year.:j

two more parcels delivered just now from Boots.com 75% sale.

Almost had a kitten when I opened the first parcel and saw 12 (yes 12) Boots Baby Wipes packs. I thought I had ordered 6 (for my daughter to use on the little one), but it is buy one get one free and I must have put 12 in my excitement to get the sale order in at the same time and not lose the stock to one of you lot. Oh well, enough baby wipes to start a day nursery now.

Just two more .com orders to be delivered. I will start to have withdrawal symptoms then.

Edit: just posted this and then remembered why I ordered 12 packs....it was to make sure the 200 Extra Points-spend £10 on Selected Baby kicked in

  • I saw the Ted Baker computed bags for the first time yesterday. I wasn't that impressed with them to be honest. £10 is about what they are worth IMHO (just for the TB stuff inside). :rotfl:

I've just had an email from boots.com. Only one item from my second order is available, and it's just been despatched. Interestingly, the Sanctuary masks were out of stock, but they've left the 500 points on there! So I'm not complaining.

I nipped into my local (Middlebrook) yesterday morning and managed to spend about £40 - got the SA to split it, so I now have 8 x £5 vouchers to spend - awaiting more TD wipes, though, so I can't spend them yet.

They had loads of stuff at 9am. No No.7 or R&M stuff though, which was what I really wanted.

By lunchtime, almost everything was gone. It was madness.

And today, all that's left are the TB sets, the brandy Xmas pudding things and loads of bath crystals.

Unfortunately, the chip has gone in my AC, so I had to actually PAY for everything! Yikes!!
