Is it cheaper to buy a flight into Mumbai and then an internal flight to Goa and look for accomodation when you get there?0

Thanks for your responses.
Thanks for advising the hotels will not have entertainment like say a Spain resort. BUT as long as it has a swimming pool for the kids that will be good.
It's all a bit daunting this ... I was hoping I would get more from any regular Goa travellers. :-)0 -
There isn't chavtastic entertainment like loud discos etc that you'd find in Spain, and there's not much for young kids, but Goa's a great place. I go every year. For more info go on the Goa discussion forum on www.holidaytruths.co.uk
Btw if you're going this Feb you do realise you need a visa don't you!!They can take weeks to come through unless you visit the indian embassys:)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Maybe I'm missing something but why a swimming pool when the beach is nearby?0 -
Varca's in the south so anywhere in an adjacent village is fine....they're not far apart.
You might want to look for an apartment for 5 if the hotels are a bit steep.....the South tends to have a lot plusher hotels....and a lot of guesthouses for couple/oldies which might not be great for kids.
Try here for lspecific transport and accomodation advice..better local knowledge.
