Is the cash withdraw limit e.g. £300.00 really the limit?

he/she SHOULD report/investigate it. and you state you work for hsbc god help hsbc customers if they are all of the same mindset as you. you have a duty of care to your customers

No, my duty of care is limited to ensuring I don't give your money to someone who isn't you. Beyond that, unless something is very obviously wrong (and not just withdrawing large amounts of cash, people do unpredictable things sometimes, funnily enough) it is none of my business. No bank could fairly be given responsibility for the actions of its customers with their own money.

I think the handwriting is a red herring. I have awful handwriting and always have done.

But the rest of it is very sad. I hope the police catch the crook and send him down for a long time (and any of your dad's money left).

In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Surprised that they didnt ask for ID when i took £500 out over the counter. They have chip n pin to make it harder for someone to use your card if its stolen, but a thief can just walk into a branch and withdraw a large amount no questions asked
